The church has a calling that does not allow us to shield ourselves from the needs of our neighbors or our brothers and sisters around the world. As the Father sent Jesus, so Jesus sends the church into the world to embody Christ's presence and to bear witness to God's Reign. In service to our common calling we join with partners in our city and in faraway places, and we seek to learn from the wider body of Christ.
