Easter Offering
We will be taking a special Easter offering this year, throughout Eastertide, for two of our longstanding partners, Sunrise Ministries in Cambodia and Maranatha Church in El Paso, Texas. We will be receiving this offering until Pentecost Sunday, May 19.

Congregational Meeting on May 5th
After church service on May 5th from 12:15 to 1:15 PM, we will have a congregational meeting to discuss a range of updates and topics for Redeemer. Lunch and child care will be provided!

Membership Class on 4/28
Our final meeting will be on 4/28 from 12:30 - 2:30 pm at church. Before our next class, please do the following with your Gospel Friends:

  • Read the Baptism Liturgy together. Pick a statement/phrase that sticks out to you and discuss what it means to you.

  • What questions do you have about becoming a member or about Redeemer that you feel are unanswered?

  • Reflect on whether you wish to become a member of Redeemer Community Church and why or why not.

  • Write letters to each other: affirming what they have learned from journeying together, blessing each other, affirming giftings they see in each other, affirm how you have received God’s love through each other, affirm God’s work in each other’s lives

Also, before our last class, please look over this worksheet to prepare for our time together.

Easter Symbols in the Sanctuary

As we celebrate Eastertide, learn about the rich history of Easter symbols. And as you notice them in the sanctuary, may they help lead you into worship. You can also use it to inspire your own worship elements at home.

Food Sale Fundraiser by Rise Prep Seniors
The seniors of Rise Prep are having a big food sale fundraiser in the Redeemer parking lot this Sunday after church. Menu includes pupusas, flautas, tamales, ceviche, pizza, ribs, mac and cheese, cheesecake, and so much more! Students are raising money for their senior trip. Come out and see; it's a delicious way to meet the seniors and some of their families. (Note: This fundraiser and the senior trip are not endorsed by Rise, but we can honor their initiative)

Redeemer Kids’ Camp in June
Redeemer Kids’ Camp will be held June 10-14, 2024. We invite Redeemer Church School families to join us as we have fun and build friendships through hearing stories from the Bible, playing games & sports, making crafts, singing, and other activities. Camp is for kids entering kindergarten through entering 6th grade. This year, we have capacity for 15 kids.

KIDS CAMP VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
We are grateful that Redeemer youths will be leading the camp (trained by Juliette). There will be a few adults during camp and we are inviting adults who want to get to know our kids to volunteer for a day or two. This is a great opportunity to spend time with our kids in a different way and build cross generational friendship. We will also need help with providing daily snacks for the campers. More details to come. If you have any questions related to volunteering or providing snacks, please talk to Janet or Juliette.

CAMP DATES: June 10 - 14, 2024 (Monday - Friday) 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Save the Date: Ekklesia Project Gathering
The Ekklesia Project is a gathering of scholars, pastors and laypeople with a shared love for the church and a commitment to the non-violent way of the cross. EP has been a source of sustaining friendship and theological imagination for Redeemer for much of our life. Its annual Gathering is in Southern California this year from July 11-13--first ever West Coast gathering!--and we're looking to gather a group of folks to attend together. The theme is Bearing Witness to Grief: Climate Collapse, Resistance and Grounded Hope. If you're interested, save the date and feel free to ask Chi-Ming or Juliette if you have any questions.
